Type of Windows

For something as seemingly simple as glass in a frame,
windows are as diverse as their applications and functional.
From transoms location above a window or door, gable
windows under a roof or single hung windows in many former
British colonies, you could fill a book with the construction
types, opening types, designs and purposes. But we won't go
quite that far. Instead, learn more about the most common
designs in use today including their intended use and benefits.

Type of Door

Unlike sliding doors where only half the total area can be
opened, folding doors open completely and create large
panoramic openings into your garden or yard. Bifold doors
consist of two or more door connected panels that open
concertina style, folding away flat to one side when open.
Folding patio doors are the best way to get the most natural
light and largest uninterrupted views.

How window and door reduce noise?

The WELL Sound concept aims to bolster occupant health and
well-being through the identification and mitigation of acousti-
cal comfort parameters that shape occupant experiences in
the built environment.

Sound masking levels do not exceed 48 dBA in open areas
with Quiet zones and/or Circulations zones and 42 dBA in
enclosed rooms labeled as Quiet zones.
